Patriachal society a poor societal structure ?

Patriachal society a poor societal structure Next gen?

In patriachy a man is a decision maker , he shapes family dynamic and paints the vision of the child . Man being a father, is biologically a progenitor to a child and biologically participates in giving birth to a child, but rest of the time he is absence in the role of upbringing a child makes it question is patriachy a poor societal structure?

Limitation of patriarchal role

The main constraint regarding the patriarchal role is the financial issue that families suffer due to one breadwinner. They recommend a co-earning and caregiver model for the parenting and family structure as “women’s participation in paid work or having access to income can reduce household financial stress, increase expenditure on children’s health and wellbeing, increase her agency and decision-making and has been shown to have macro-economic impacts at a global scale.
Most 87 percent of adults report a rise in their financial expenditure worldwide. Though apparently one sees no effect on the child but deep underneath the layer the child goes through abuse in its tender years of growth. Financial worries can have a long-term impact on the child’s mental health, especially in nuclear families.
Economic difficulties make it impossible to repay bills or having to move in with relatives, cause parents’ stress to increase, consequently leading to mental health of the child. Leading it seeks unhealthy coping mechanisms  due to  emotional neglect it feels. Most adults—87 percent—report an increase in global financial spending. Under the surface, the child experiences abuse during its formative years, despite the appearance that there is no impact; particularly in nuclear families.
Financial worries can have a long-term negative effect on a child's mental health, but not only because of the high  stress levels,  parents  face social challenges every day. A mother claims in the same study, that she feels self-conscious, other parents call their family for some fun activity; she has constantly denied, thus there is no other mechanism to cope up with the situation.

The financial challenges cages the mother and sends the child to restrictive boundaries which they cannot explore out of social anxiety.Father‘s claim that the  financial pressures make it difficult for a parent to cater to the needs of the child, to be  emotionally available, with the work pressure, and  long working hours make it difficult for them to even console a child that had a bad day.
The work stress and scarce economic resources, with no other member to share the load make it difficult for the fathers to deal with his own emotions; moreover, when a father begins to fail the social construct of the society, begins to shame him for not being a provider.
This came clear in a Hong Kong-based study, a couple acknowledges that their long work hours make it hard for them to recognize their child's emotions, especially for the father, their financial constraints make it difficult to meet their child's emotional requirements and economic requirements.
“Father said” working is a requirement for men in society. Me as a  father hardly even gets to moment with the child, the company needs industrious employees, and to survive one must be vigilant,  families which have low income rarely have time to cater to the child's demand, often to keep peace we must send our daughter to the grandmother's house.”

People below poverty line rarely have time to spend quality time with the family, children must start working early or be dependent on a low-income household, suffer from mental health issues. A source of income is crucial to even recognize a child's emotion; research reveals that the father's absence from the child's life contributed to the child's poor development in a study comparing the offspring of single mothers.

Father says, I do not have much time to communicate with my daughter. But you know, earning money is very important. Sometimes I will ask her grandma to take care of her.  Additionally, in another research paper wherein, the children of single mothers were compared, father's absence from the Life of the child resulted into the poor development of the child.

The child has poor self-esteem and was already active sexually in early stages of adolescence. The point to be noted about the research was single mothers were not backed by their families., but slightly there is a need for father's affection. Which child is deprived either due to its complete or partial absence? Thus, to come up with a notion is not wrong.

Coming back to the previous paper, the research claims that the finance was an issue but more is division of work and dissatisfaction of work, both for caregiver and breadwinner. There is a requirement of role swap at least for a time being, but it does help.

  Constraint in gender role  reversal

In research of Clara and Kristina find a major constraint which need to remove to make a better place for child to grow- these norms are related to patriarchal, not just being breadwinner, but also a protector and decision, and their studies if wives were given chance to support the family not only financially but also by participating in decision making, it will make it easier for man as it will share lighten his load and baggage.

According to Clara and Kristina's research, there is a significant barrier that needs to be removed in order to create a better environment for children to grow up in. These norms are related to patriarchy and involve men not only as the provider but also as the family's protector and decision-maker.

If wives are given the opportunity to support the family not only financially but also by taking part in decision-making, it will be easier for men because it will lessen their burden and baggage. In a UK based study, agrees with the research, that men agreed they were comfortable with the caregiving role, rather than, the breadwinner, but on contrary the conflict of gender role was more seen in the women moreover the study showed variation with other culture, the first world nation like America, the role swap seemed more favorable as the value were less traditional over the year, which allowed a role swap when desired. This helped families to have better mental health, especially fathers and children.

Examining constraints

Thus, by examining the role of fathers in parenting for gender equality, we can safely say, despite the promising evidence, men’s desire, and potential to contribute to child development in positive ways as fathers and caregivers is not being fully realized. Though it differs from culture to culture and society to society.  The role swap helps you a better place for child development, if brought up very well can give child development, by providing a better economic agency and suitable atmosphere.

We can therefore confidently state that, despite the encouraging data, men's desire and potential to positively influence children's development as fathers and caregivers are not being fully realized by looking at the role of fathers in parenting for gender equality.

Even though it varies between societies and cultures.  By examining the role of fathers in parenting for gender equality, we can claim with confidence that, despite the encouraging data, men's desire and potential to positively influence children's development as fathers and caregivers are not being fully realized. Even though it differs depending on the society and culture. fathers' roles in raising their children for gender equality will foster upcoming hazards for the coming generation, If rightly implemented, the swapping roles will provide a more suitable outlook and environment for  the child, bring a better space for emotional expression and bond formation.
